How do artists use ‘reverse ethnography’ to reflect identity within post-colonialist objectivity?

An essay that discusses and argues how performing the ‘other’ can explore the notions surrounding post-colonialism whilst evoking institutional critique; manipulation of the colonial gaze; and how this comes out of signified meaning within culture. Works featured: Coco Fusco and Guillermo Gomez-Pena’s Two Undiscovered Americans, 1992-94; Angela Tiatia’s Heels & Walking the Wall, 2014; Get to Work’s (a.l.o.t.o) a league of their own, 2017; and Tracy Moffatt.
